We are thrilled to welcome you to the Echo Program at Cardinal Tech - Institute of Allied Health. To prepare you for the course, we will elaborate below on the required items as outlined in your enrollment agreement. welcome to

your books & simulator

your books and simulator will be shipped to you prior to the start of the course. please ensure the address you listed on your student application is the address at which you'd like us to ship these items.

**we will also be shipping a USB with software for you to download on your computer PRIOR to the start date of the course.

computer & internet access

lectures, homework, and your simulator usage all require access to a computer and broadband internet service. the computer requirements are listed below to run the simulator software

computer requirements

Operating System* Windows 64-bit 7 SP1+, 8, 8.1, 10; Mac OS X 10.11 or newer (must be a 2012 model or newer)

Processor Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2 at 1.5 GHz or faster
Disk Storage Up to 30 GB available disk space depending on modules purchased

Memory 2 GB RAM

Video Card NVIDIA GeForce 9000 or greater, ATI/AMD Radeon 5000 or newer, most Intel HD Graphics or newer

Minimum screen resolution 1024×768

Input Ports One USB port, directly accessible or via USB-C adapter*

Broadband internet connection is required

Please note that Simulator Courses are available through most web browsers, but the Simulator itself is not supported on ChromeBooks, tablets, or mobile devices.

Integrated Intel HD 4000 or better graphics processors are generally capable of supporting our software correctly, but some custom models supplied by certain computer manufacturers do not provide adequate support for the advanced graphics features required by the SonoSim software.

If you have a laptop with only USB-C ports, a USB-C to USB adapter is required. Please do not attempt to install with a Hub adapter as we recommend the Apple-Brand Adapter.

on-site lab intensives

as outlined in the program information, we will be scheduling three 3-day on-site lab intensives.
one session will be scheduled in each of the three semesters.
we will be sending dates out within a few weeks of the program going live
these are a requirement for the program, and are held in our carmel, indiana location.

additional requirements

the following will be required prior to your externship (these items are additional cost items as outlined in 5b in the enrollment agreement):
-an active, current CPR card
- cardinal tech logo scrubs (we will assist you in coordinating this order through our partners)
- immunizations (we will give you a list of requirements)- note that we encourage medical choice, and you're welcome to submit exemptions, and any final approval for exemptions would be given by the extern site
- a drug screen & background check (we will assist you in coordinating these through our partners)
